PROSPECTS SR ACADEMY TRAVEL TEAM
The purpose of this program is to provide the most elite 18-20 players within the Academy with the opportunity to showcase their abilities for collegiate coaches and professional scouts while playing at tournaments geared toward this exposure in Western Canada and the United States. This team will be made up primarily of high school junior and senior players who will be eligible for college or the MLB Amateur Draft within 1-2 seasons. Qualified players with demonstrated ability may also have the opportunity to compete at this level at younger ages.
MIDGET PROSPECTS TRAVEL TEAM
The purpose of this program is to prepare serious players to play for the Prospects Sr Academy Travel Team within a year or two, as well as to provide off-season training and skill development for minor baseball players who will challenge for premium roster spots within their association's top tiered team in the following summer seasons. This program will be made up primarily of freshmen, sophomore and junior players. Qualified players with demonstrated ability may also have the opportunity to compete at this level at younger ages.
JR. PROSPECTS ACADEMY OFF-SEASON DEVELOPMENTAL PROGRAM
The purpose of this program is to prepare up-and-coming players to move up the ranks of the Prospects Academy system while enhancing baseball skills and knowledge through an off-season training program. Players will be conditioned to challenge for premium roster spots within their minor baseball associations' top tiered teams. This program will be made up primarily of players in the late-elementary school and junior high school level.
BASEBALL-SPECIFIC STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING PROGRAM
The purpose of this program is to provide an off-season training program for players in the junior and futures academies. The program is tailored to each individual and its make-up is dependent upon each player's age, development level, and position. For the younger athlete the main focus of the program is building a foundation of movement skills, improving core strength, running mechanics, flexibility and mobility work, and the introduction of an arm care program. For an older athlete all of the aforementioned is included, with the addition of an emphasis on introducing weight lifting and speed and power work. This program is not mandatory for any athlete participating in the futures or juniors but is an option for the young, dedicated athlete looking to take his or her game to the next level.
