Ryan Johnson No-Hits VAB Game 1

GAME 1: Game 1 saw Ryan Johnson No-Hit Vauxhall to pick up the 1-0 win. Johnson threw a 7 inning shutout with four strikeouts and four walks. Johnson only allowed one ball to reach the outfield which ended up being a fly ball. He recorded 11 ground ball outs on the day. The Prospects found a way to manufacture a run in the first inning which ended up becoming the game winning run. Keegan Hucul picked up the only hit of the day behind a strong performance on the mound from VAB pitching staff.

GAME 2: Game 2 ended up coming down to the wire with the Prospects coming out on the losing end of a 3-2 score. Emerson Savage had a quality start on the mound giving up 1 run on 2 hits and 5 walksthrough 4 innings. Andrew Mirasty threw 1 1/3 giving up 2 runs, 1 earned.Matt Craine recorded the final 2 outs of teh game. Offensivley the Prospects led for most of the game. Matt Biollo and Kyle Radke were both 1-3 with a double. Padon Brenholen countinued to swing the bat going 1-1 with a sac bunt and a walk. After a great play by the VAB SS robbing Brad Michaleski of a hit with a diving grab deep in the hole, Colton Thurrott came up with a big 7th inning hit with one out. The Prospects came up a little short and were unable to push the tieing run across.

Prospects Academy record is now 9-3 and will face off vs. FX Academy at Legion Field in St. Albert on Wednesday night. Game time is 5:30pm.
