Game 1

On Friday night the Prospects lost to Okanagan College 13-2.  The Academy couldn't do much to keep the college hitters at bay.  Jacob Melville got the start on the mound with Erik Sabrowski coming on in relief.  Connor Burns and Tauren Langley each had an RBI.

Game 2

On Saturday, the Prospects opened the day with a 7-4 win over the Okanagan A's.  Luke Roberts got the start on the mound and in 5 innings gave up 4 runs on 3 hits, 4 walks, while striking out 4.  Ross Supruniuk got the win out of the bullpen, tossing 2 scoreless frames while striking out 2.  Connor Burns (2-4, 2B, 3 RBI) and Jake Fischer (1-3, 3B, 3 RBI) led the way offensively.  The game was tied 4-4 going into the final inning before Jake Fischer's 2 RBI go ahead triple.

Game 3

The Academy dropped their second game on Saturday to Okanagan College 6-1.  Taran Oulton got the start on the mound and in his 6 innings he gave up 6 runs (4 earned) on 7 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 5.  Connor Burns, Erik Sabrowski, and Anthony Owen had the only hits for the academy.  Erik Sabrowski also collected the lone RBI.  The Academy had its chances, straning 6 baserunners over the course of the game.  It was tight, holding at 3-1 until the fifth inning, before Okanagan College expanded the deficit and the Prospects weren't able to battle back.

Game 4

In the first game of the doubleheader on Sunday, the Prospects lost 3-0 to Okanagan College.  Connor Burns was very strong on the mound, throwing 5 innings giving up 3 runs (2 earned) on 6 hits.  Burns walked none and struck out 3.  Jr. Prospect call-up Graham Brunner threw a scoreless inning of relief.  On offense, the Prospects couldn't do much again.  Erik Sabrowski, Jake Fischer, and Jackson Campbell had the only 3 hits for the Academy.

Game 5

In the final game of the weekend the Prospects showed some character battling back from a late 6-1 deficit, but would ultimately fall 8-7 to Okanagan College.  On the mound Owen Bessette pitched 4 innings of 1 run ball giving up just 3 hits while walking 3 and striking out 3.  A couple costly errors by the Prospect defense would allow the OC Coyotes to score 5 runs in the bottom of the fifth.  Aidan Huggins threw the final 2 innings giving up 7 runs (2 earned).  In the top of the 6th the Academy would come up with a huge 2-out rally to score 6 runs and take a 7-6 lead.  Unfortunately they gave up 2 runs right back in the bottom half and couldn't tie up the game in the 7th.  The offense was led by Jacob Melville (1-3, 2B, 2 RBI), Owen Bessette (1-1, 2B, 2 RBI), Jake Fischer (2-4, 2B, RBI), and Jackson Campbell (2-3, 2 RBI).  Damian Obrigewitch, Erik Sabrowksi, Matt Quartel, and Jaret Semeniuk also all had base hits on the day.
The Prospects are back in action next weekend down south in Okotoks with a four game set against rival academy, Okotoks Dawgs.
