Prospects Win 4 in Calgary

GAME 1: Prospects Academy faced off vs. Okotoks Academy and won by a score of 7-4 in a late inning rally. The Prospects were led by Mitchell Beaudreau who was 2-3 with a stolen base and a triple. Travis Steinke and Brad Michaleski each had a double while Ryan Johnson and Matt Biollo each had a couple of singles. On the mound Matt Craine got the start and went 4 innings allowing 3 runs on 5 hits, striking out 6. Andrew Mirasty picked up the win throwing the final 3 innings allowing 1 run on two hits while striking out 2.

GAME 2: Game 2 saw the Academy win a tight battle vs. University of Calgary by a score of 5-3. Brad Michaleski got the start on the mound picking up the win throwing a complete game giving up 3 runs on 7 hits striking out 2. Offensivley Kyle Radke was 1-1 with 2 walks and a triple, Matt Biollo was 2-2 with a walk and 2 singles, David Dewolfe was 2-3 with a double, and Ethan Elias and Travis Steinke each contributed with a hit. Defensivley Kyle Radke picked 8 ground balls for the Academy in a total game effort to pick up the win.

GAME 3: Game 3 saw another late inning rally to beat the Okotoks Academy by a score of 6-1. Ryan Johnson got the start on the mound throwing his second complete game in a row only giving up 1 unearned run on one hit threw 7 innings. Another strong performance on the mound after throwing a no-hitter vs. Vauxhall Academy the weekend before. The Prospects found a way to put somthing together in the late innings with hits by Brad Michaleski, Mclean Cruthers, David Dewolfe, Matt Biollo, and Dennis Millar to overtake the Dawgs at the end of the game.

GAME 4: Saw some big hits late in the game in pressure situations to pick up the Academy's 4th win of the weekend overtaking the University of Calgary by a score of 8-2. Emerson Savage got the win and the start throwing 5 quality innings allowing 2 runs on 5 hits and 3 walks. Andrew Minchuk made his return to the mound to throw 2 innings of scorless baseball striking out 2. Offensivley the Prospects provided another late inning comeback putting up 7 runs in the final 3 innings. Padon Brenholen was 2-4 with a run scored, Kyle Radke was 2-4 with a triple, Kevin Czarnecki was 2-3, and Keegan Hucul had a big triple late in the game that drove in 2. Matt Biollo, Brad Michaleski, Dennis Millar, and Ethan Elias all collected a hit each to help the Academy win thier 4th game of the weekend.

Prospects Academy's record is now 14-3. They will be at home on Tuesday September 29th to face FX Academy. Game time is 5:30pm.
