Prospects Sweep Badlands after Kansas Showcase

The Prospects were on the road for 11 days on their annual College Showcase Tour. The Academy played 7 games and had a couple of workouts for different schools before heading home. The Prospects began their trip with 3 games vs. Seward County College, 2 games vs. Garden City College, and 2 games at Hutchinson College. The Academy also had workouts with McPherson University and Dodge City College. Many players were talked to over the 11 day trip, which has proved to be a quality trip as the Prospects have sent a number of successful players on to schools in the Kansas Jayhawk Conference.

Past players that have been aquired after the Kansas Showcase Tour include; Brad Micheleski (Garden City CC), Keegan Hucul (Seward County CC), Andrew Case (Garden City), David Dewolfe (Independence CC), Emerson Savage (Hutchinson CC), Andrew Minchuk (independence CC), Kevin Czarnecki (Garden City), Owen Renwick (Hutchinson CC), and Triffon Tatarin (Garden City CC).

The Academy ended the road trip by attending the Wyoming University vs. New Mexico University D1 college football game.


After the trip the Prospects swept the Badlands Academy in a 3 game set by scores of 8-0, 13-0, and 4-1. The Prospects played some of the best ball of the year allowing only 1 run on 2 errors and banged 34 hits over the 3 game series.

On a side note he Jr. Prospects finished their season with a convincing win over the St. Albert Cardinals by a score of 15-5.
