The Prospects Academy start their 40-game fall schedule off with a 15-0 win over the Sherwood Park Dukes. The Academy collected 14 hits, while the pitching staff tossed a no-hit shutout.

Offensivley the Prospects were led by returning catcher Mitchell Hazlett who was 2/4 with a HR, 3 Runs, and 4 Rbi's. Kobe Hyland was 2/2 with 3 runs scored in his Prospects debut. SS Zach Tibault also had a multi hit game going 2/2 at the plate. In a complete team effort Wark, Affleck, Barrett, Fischer, Loranger, Williams, Bartley, Burns all added a hit a piece.

On the mound Luke Muise set the tone for the start of the year as he picks up his first win of the year throwing 2 innings, with 2 K's and not allowing a baserunner. Luke was followed by Jake Lanferman who tossed 2 innings with 4 BB and 4 K's, Taran Oulton who had 1 BB and 3 K's through 2 innings. Ryan Bartley finished the game with 2 K's and 1 BB as he solidified the Prospects Academy's first win of the season.


The Prospects next game will be in Spruce Grove on Thursday September 5th vs. FX Academy. First Pitch will be at 7:00 pm.
