Prospects Go 1-2 in Road Series Against Vauxhall

The Prospects Academy went 1-2 on the weekend down in Vauxhall, AB versus a very solid Vauxhall Jets squad.  The Prospects picked up their first victory of the fall in game 1 on Sunday, winning 8-3.  Owen Renwick was strong on the mound going 6 innings allowing 3 runs (1 earned).  Christian Smith closed out the game by putting up a zero in the final inning.  The Prospects offence was balanced.  Triffon Tatarin had a multi-hit game and Mat Brisson had a single and a stolen base.  Mitchell Hazlett and Ryan Van Snick also had base hits.

The Prospects next action is Wednesday when they play St. FX at Telus Field on Wednesday before heading down to Lethbridge on the weekend to play PBA.
